Inner Desert

This black-and-white fine art series brings together some of the themes and images that have fascinated me greatly since childhood: the desert, the female figure, the Western, solitude, and surrealism.

The landscape serves as an open stage on which isolated characters, animals, and impossible elements construct a deliberately ambiguous narrative. References such as Moebius, the classic Western, and cinematic aesthetics are filtered through my own style.

To create the images, I used photographs of female models from previous photo shoots and reconstructed them through editing and photomontage until they became scenes from an imagined Western.
