Traces: The Archaeology of Alien Life

"Vestigios" is a personal project from 2023 that explores the limits of the artificial intelligence tools available at that time to create something impossible: biological remains of living beings belonging to ecosystems we do not know. Fossils, skeletons, and unknown creatures appear as exhibits in an intergalactic natural history museum.

Somewhere between scientific speculation, science fiction, and digital art, the project constructs an imaginary archaeology using synthetic images and digital manipulation, posing the question: What would the traces of a life we have never seen look like?
