Los Angeles serves here as the setting for a reflection on the contemporary city. Through high-resolution panoramic photographs created using image stitching, the project examines an urban landscape where architecture, infrastructure, advertising, and mobility coexist to the point of blurring the place’s identity.
Inspired by the concept of the “Generic City,” the series avoids overly obvious references in order to focus attention on spaces that could belong to almost any major metropolis.
Rather than documenting a specific city, the images offer a perspective on a globalized urban model in which architecture ceases to be an icon and instead becomes the backdrop for an increasingly homogeneous reality.
Every intersection is a stage where the city seems to continually reinvent itself.
